No area of your life can make you feel more like success when everything is going well and make you feel more like a failure when things go wrong. A confession of defeat makes one loose hope and derail in any attempt of success, alternatively if one walks in the midst of overwhelming, reaching to God’s hand in time of distress, pressing on by moving into the future God has for you, surviving disappointments by overcoming the pressures of today’s world. All these starts in the tongue.
Proverbs 18:20-21(GNB version). you will have to live with the consequences of everything you say. What you say can preserve life or destroy it, so you must accept the consequences of your words.
An experienced athlete was on the top of the race, suddenly she tripped and fell, she thought of staying down but after some seconds everyone cheering her thought her race was over.it was as if a vacuum had sucked all the energy out of the place-talking about the moment she thought she had collapsed. One of the announcers even tried softening the blow.
The teammate had moved in to the lead, “it is okay if I come in last “she said. She continued explaining “the first thing. I remember seeing after feeling like I was falling was pushing off to go again” she leapt up as pushing off to go again, as fast as she fell down and began closing the distance.
The crowd responded by cheering loudly “as I started to gain momentum, it was like a crescendo of noise and excitement “she remembered.to the amazement of the announcers and spectators, she passed one runner, then another, then finally her own teammate to take first place.
